Words, Words, Words

In studying for the GRE’s coming this Saturday I’ve been pouring over the vocabulary flashcards.

The word Aberrant came up.

I noticed its relationship to errant, like Knight Errant, a knight who wanders. The words Knight Abberrant clicked into my head and I haven’t been able to shake it. I started playing with names of characters in King Arthur’s court, twisting them to make them sound evil and icky.

I see a knight named Sir Uwick, whose sword-arm is a tentacle and wields a terrible blade.

King Arlock Pendaemon would rule the Knights Aberrant at this Amorphous Table in Cameloth.

King Hellinore wouldn’t hunt the Questing Beast but married the fucking thing.

That’s all I’ve got so far. It is some kind of Arthurian setting with mutants and monsters as knights.
