It is the firmest law of the Dune universe – NO THINKING MACHINES!- and yes, tonight our group broke it over our knee. Half a dozen rolls into the game and the Duke bought an A.I. Fucking awesome.
It is also funny that this morning, Jeff, Storn and I just recorded a Sons of Kryos episode and discussed settings and cannon and making worlds our own.

Hot damn, that’s great. When I saw the “Dune” supplement to Burning Empires, I was sold ten times over.

The Dune supplement’s actually to Burning Wheel.
The whole thing is very proto-Burning Empires. You can see the BE seeds in there.
I’ll just have to get both BW AND BE!! I think between the two I’ll be able to get my epic SF and high fantasy itches scratched good.
