Bringing the Suck

Played two RPG’s this week and they both sucked. That is the first time that I’ve felt like a game I played in was a foul tip rather than a solid triple in a looooong time and it was two, right in a row.

That is the bad news.

The good news is we have a good idea of what went wrong and one of those game was a playtest and playtests are sometimes painful.

I’ll write up thoughts on both games later. It feels really important to talk about games that go into the shitter, likely even moreso than constantly flashing the horns and screaming, “Awesome!” at the top of my lungs.

I have to wake up tomorrow morning and deal with Zorro’s wake-up rituals and then go to the Saturday shift at work.

Ugh.

Tired.

More on this later.

  1. These games are acts of creation. This creation, like birth, involves pain, is messy and bloody and sticky and involves otherwise ugly bodily fluids.

    I have faith. And friends.
