Reading: Everything in my Currently Reading shelf went out the window and Steel Remains by Richard K. Morgan arrived in the mail from England. My awesome cousin, Jocelyn sent it over, as it won’t be out here until ’09. It grabbed me from the first paragraph and hasn’t let go.
Wearing: Blue t-shirt and new jeans with a brown hoodie to ward off the autumn chill.
Planning: Hanging out with old friends tonight, need to buy the third book of Avatar DVD’s and on Sunday, a wedding. Also, I’m thinking that I will ask Janaki to trim up my mohawkish thing. I’m looking a little too much like that gun dealer from the Fifth Element right about now.
Writing: Putting game notes into google docs and character descriptions for an upcoming dingus.
And you?
Reading: Witch Finders for Hunter: the Vigil
Wearing: Khakis and Marvel Zombies t-shirt
Planning: Halloween LARP
Writing: New game and reviews
Vigil?
How is Hunter?
Re: Vigil?
I’m pretty impressed so far.
I absolutely hated Hunter: the Reckoning, but this one seems to offer up a lot of different options depending on the style of “hunter” you want to play ranging from the local blue collar dude protecting the neighborhood all the way up to secret government conspiracies and occult groups dealing with ancient supernatural horrors.
The Tactics mechanics are a new development for the system and offer up some cool team-play options. The Endowments are pretty neat, although I would have kept them separate from Merits (personal preference).
The great thing is all of the core WoD books are plug-n-play with Hunter, so there are tons of great antagonists and other resources readily available.

Gimme more about Steel Remains! I’m dying for more good books. Once I finish Latro, I’m not sure where to go. I have an Umberto Eco book on the shelf (The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loanna?), but not much else.
R: Still working on Latro in the Mist, or whatever it’s called. An amazing book.
W: Some shirt with a Hawaiian turtle on it I didn’t know existed until I ran out of laundry.
P: Maybe taking a new friend to a birthday party for an old, old friend.
W: Nothing. I’m so burned out from work right now, that I sat down to think about burning up some BW characters for fun and just wrote down four lifepath names before quitting.
