Reading: I can’t stick with anything lately. I picked up Spook Country. I should probably put down these novels and pick up a book of short stories; I think that would fit into my life far better at this point.
Planning: A weekend with the lady-friend.
Wearing: Jeans and a comfy t-shirt.
Writing: Wrote some more on the 7 Dwarven Kings yesterday and it is likely time to get started on the next Issue Brief.
And you?
Reading:PHB 2. Totally digging the classes way more than the PHB 1. I think I have enough meat between the two to start doing the campaigns I’d like to do.
Planning: Attending a workshop on stretching, etc. tonight. This weekend? Rest, go see a movie or something.
Wearing: t-shirt & jammies. Gonna hop in the shower, change, and head to work.
Writing: Nothing specific. I did get a new computer, so I might do a ton of writing this weekend too.

Reading: Finished up Superior Saturday in Garth Nix’s YA fiction series Keys to the Kingdom (precis: Harry Potter run through a Nobilis filter). Now I’m tucking into the Starman Omnibus #2. Honestly the captioning is a bit too self-aware for my 21st-century eyes, but the storylines are great, and the just-finished section that involved adventures with the original Sandman were worth the price of admission. I’m itching to get past this and into my collections of Invincible — not to mention Berry’s Manual of Detection.
Planning: Saturday D&D and a trip to Ikea.
Wearing: Pajama pants and a tee shirt.
Writing: Marketing copy for Hard Boiled Armies.
Introduction of Jake Benetti
The last story in the second omnibus is the issue that I first picked up when I got into Starman. It is a grabby, fantastic issue.

For a collection of really good short stories, I recommend “Fast Ships, Black Sails.” I’m currently reading it now.

I also find it hard to stick with any book lately unless it’s able to engage me so completely I don’t want to put it down.
Reading: Going to try starting “Viriconium” tonight, also working through some art books “Drawing from Observation” and “Creative Inking”
Planning: Weekend with family. Watching BSG. Weather permitting some geocaching, a trip to the zoo, and some sketching. Finishing up some creative projects for friends. Busy, but fulfilling.
Wearing: Same thing I always wear at work – some iteration of outdoorsy tech-fiber clothing
Drawing: Want to draw some animals at the Zoo this weekend. Attempted to draw an overhead crane today but not enough time to finish it.

It ate me comment!
Try Ted Chiang’s “Stories of Your Life and Others”, great.

Reading: Dead But Dreaming, mythos fiction edited by Keith Herber and Kevin Ross, which I picked up on Friday the 13th, following which, I emailed Keith Herber to say I’d gotten it and the Strat was carrying them and other MRP products. As I sent the email, I went to Chaosium’s home page and learned that Keith Herber had died the night before.
Planniing: Sunday at Lunacon, polishing a resume, the job hunt.
Wearing: Well, last night, I had a kickass hat for the steampunk ball and a skirt over my jeans. Tonight, it’s cords and a Tiptree t-shirt.
Writing: Basically, this. I’m way too tired for something more brain intensive right now.
