Threatening to Rain Friday

I like these gray, dreary summer days. I hope it thunderstorms.

Reading: I didn’t read much this week because Joshua asked me to read over Shock: Social Science Fiction for its 1.1 to 1.2 run. I suggested a half dozen little tweaks. Behind Burning Wheel, Shock: is the game I have been playing the most. I have some thoughts on it that will be blogged about here at some point soon.

Planning: A trip to visit my ladyfriend.

Wearing: Jeans and a polo shirt.

Writing: I am eyeing a few things that need finishing and making outlines for future things.

And you?

  1. Reading: Rereading Derrick Jensen’s Endgame – it’s been a couple of years and his arguments about the non-sustainability of civilization seem even more grimly relevant these days.

Planning: Breakfast w/a friend. Work. More work. Laundry. Sleep.

Wearing: Sweats & T at the moment.

Writing: Caught between The Emperor’s Heart and designy stuff for the unnamed wargame idea right now.

  21. Reading: The Elephant Keeper by Christopher Nicholson, various quilt blogs.

Planning: A quilting weekend at home!

Wearing: Cocoa colored jeans, cocoa/chocolate/cream plaid flannel shirt over a white tank top, cream socks with little dogs on them, and my cozy grey wool slippers. You did ask.

    Writing: My RPGirl essay. Slowly.

      • Re: Delicious clothing and RPGirl

I like making my descriptions delicious, it adds to my enjoyment of the world. Currently, I’ve changed into my plum-colored super-soft cotton yoga pants and my over-sized lavender T with silk-screened iris blooms. Same socks, though.

The RPGirl essay is about gender issues in the 6th grade gaming class I taught last year. I think. Mostly. At least at the moment. I have to look at it again once I’ve slept, and see how much it changes.

  25. Delicious clothing and RPGirl

Oooh, may I ask what the essay is about?

And your outfit sounds comfy. As a matter of fact, you make it sound delicious due to the adjectives you chose.

A big part of it is The Birds, the Alfred Hitchcock film/Daphne Du Maurier story, as a Cthulhu adventure.

And it’s set in the Lake District and has unpleasant horror stuff in it. It’s not bad.
