Reading: I am diving into Ghengis Khan and the Making of the Modern World. The Khan was a total bad-ass. It is an enjoying read and I am getting tons of inspiration for the 13 Cities campaign.
Planning: This weekend, getting schoolwork done and my life in order.
Wearing: Dickies and a button down.
Writing: I have been re-writing Sorcerer 2289 so that when I get a play slot open, I can playtest that sucker.
And you?
Reading: Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files 1
Planning: Vampire: the Requiem game tonight. Halloween content for Flames Rising.
Wearing: Half-Priced Books t-shirt and cargo shorts.
Writing: Reviews and a fiction project that will hopefully be out by the end of the year.
Vamping it
What is the premise of the Vampire game?
Re: Vamping it
The group is an all-Invictus mixed Clan bunch of upstarts looking to carve out some Influence/Status in Chicago.
I’m using the WoD: Chicago book with a few twists on the provided NPCs and we’re exploring some of the setting’s politics, history and starting tonight some of the more monstrous elements of “kindred society” so, should get interesting.
Invictus?
Invictus?
What kind of monstrous elements?
Sounds keen.

Reading: Just finished A Wizard of Earthsea and (finally) Desolation Road. Not sure what’s next – maybe ‘Paradise Lost’ or ‘Jane Eyre’.
Planning:
Ghost/Echo via Skype tonight. Gothic/Echo via bbs during the week. Crafty projects with my daugher this weekend. Maybe a movie date with the wife if schedule permits.
I want to do handmade gifts this Christmas. This means I need to start working on them now. Time to work up a list.
Thinking about Halloween a lot today too – I want to give out non-candy stuff (glowsticks, spider-rings, erasers) and I want to have the kids dance, sing, or tell a joke before they get the goodies (which is not the custom here, but is in some places). I should probably ready myself for the inevitable tp-ing of my home. 😛
Wearing: Business casual, as usual.
Creating: Made a little Sailor’s Valentine and some other crafty stuff last week, trying to get back into doing full page drawings in my Moleskine this week.

R: Just finished 1776 by David McCollough. Now listening to Hound of the Baskervilles. My interest in the assassin books has almost completely waned (so much so that I can’t remember enough of the title or author to get them on Google).
P: Lots of working.
W: Plaid shoes, brown jeans, Mariners (team) t-shirt, plaid overshirt.
W: Nothing, really. Hacking around a bit on Chthonian Void (scifi planetary horror RPG) and Red Box Done Right (kind of a modern Zak-ified Red Box D&D game that I’d like to go back in time and give to myself). Fiction’s a lost cause for me, since I can write so sporadically.

Speaking of Temüjin, have you seen the 2007 movie Mongol?
If not, you probably should. I mean, its not like the BEST EVAR, or anything, but it certainly is fun.
The Epic Trio
I have not seen that one yet but will do so. Thanks.
I can only hope that at the end of the movie, he screams, “FREEDOM!” and rides off into the sunset, holding hands with Maximus and William Wallace.
Re: The Epic Trio
Laughter.
Not at the end of this one. Its (hopefully, if plans work out) the first of a trilogy. It only gets as far as the unification of the Mongols. The other movies are supposed to cover the rest of his long and storied career.
