Prepping for the Jihad

Bob, Jeff, Kat and I got together and burned up a world and prepared for a Burning Sands: Jihad game that won’t go down for three weeks. I’m psyched though, I’m looking forward to the bloodbath to come. The interesting thing about that setting is that both sides of the coin are equally easy to disdain: priviledged nobility on one side and fanatic zealots on the other.

Here’s the thread.

Hunting the Dragon

Same thing happened last night, I woke up in the middle of the night, wide awake, unable to get back to sleep. I think it is time to finish 1st Quest, dammit.

I should be finishing the playtest draft of 1st Quest and for the past hour or so, I’ve been doing just that but I had to stop because I was Hip Deep in the Dragon’s Lair.

There, that’s out of my system. Now my headphones are back on, and its time to write again.

The Supergirl Meme

I was reading RPG.net and I came across this LJ post comparing how Supergirl is drawn and pics of Paris Hilton. Check it out and prepare to be terrified.

So a new Supergirl drawing meme is popping up.

Here are a few of my favs.

Because she has the expression of a gal who enjoys being able to fly through space and the picture’s lines are nice and crisp.

There was something almost 60’s about this one that I dug.

She’s just so damned exuberant.

Points for knee socks and including Streaky.

I dig the old fashioned “S” crest.

Cool boots.

And in case you want to check it out, my favs of the Batgirl meme from last year.

Beheading Dracula

We weren’t sure what to do so we played Spirit of the Century. Duh. Jim said, “Well, we could have Aaron make up a SotC character so that we have one around for when he visits and we aren’t sure what to do…”

From the AP:

“When your friends are putting together characters last minute, you could do worse than to let them stomp on Dracula. You can play with him via the ever-sliding

Bella Lugosi Gary Oldman Scale and yer off to the races.”
