Invasion of the Mouse Guard

We as Guard offer all
that we are to protect the sanctity
of our species, the freedom of
our kin, and the honor of our
ancestors. With knowledge,
sword, and shield, we do these
deeds, never putting a lone
mouse above the needs of all, or
the desire of self above another.
We strive for no less than to
serve the greatest good.

I am reading the pdf now and it looks really sweet. It very well might be one of two games (the other being Beast Hunters) I bring with me and Janaki on vacation.

  1. I’m so very excited about this game. I picked up the first issue of the comic on a whim when it was first released, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’ve been perusing my preorder pdf, and it is marvelous!

      • Yeah, I very rarely buy single issue comics anymore. Mouse Guard is one of three titles with which I keep current. Of course, last week’s issue was the first to come out the last 9 or 10 months, due to ASP’s troubles, so it hasn’t exactly been a burden to keep up with it.

      • If you think the PDF is pretty…

I got to look at a hardcopy on Tuesday, and the book is fucking gorgeous. Full color on nice paper doesn’t hurt, but really, the layout, font choices, art, border decor — everything is top notch. The squarish shape works too.

I just borrowed the graphic novel from a friend; let’s see what this Mouse Guard stuff is all about…
